Temples and places of worship in Charlotte

The Hindu temples, the Sikh gurdwara and the Jain center in Greater Charlotte, with addresses and a link through to each one. We deliberately do not republish aarti and darshan times here: they change, and a wrong time on a religious schedule is worse than no time at all. Each link goes to the temple itself, which is where the current schedule lives.

The main institutions

The Hindu Center of Charlotte on City View Drive is the largest and runs the fullest calendar of festivals and classes. Trimurti Temple Devasthanam on Beatties Ford Road in the northwest is the traditional South Indian temple. BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, the Shirdi Sai Temple and ISKCON each serve their own tradition. Gurdwara Sahib Charlotte serves the Sikh community, and the Jain Center of Greater Charlotte the Jain community. Hanuman Temple of Charlotte is the newest of the group to appear in searches.

On timings, and why they are not here

Darshan, aarti and puja times change with the season, the festival calendar, and whatever the temple has on that week. Several of these publish a current schedule on their own site and some do not publish one at all. Rather than copy a time that might be a year out of date, every entry above links to the temple, and you should take the time from them.

There is no Sri Venkateswara temple in Charlotte

People search for one often, so it is worth saying plainly. The SV Temple of North Carolina is in Cary, roughly two and a half hours east. The closest thing in Charlotte itself is Trimurti Temple Devasthanam on Beatties Ford Road, which is a traditional South Indian temple.
