Indian nationals can also contact the Embassy of India in Washington DC (202-939-7000), and Indian missions can give counselling, legal and financial help to Indian women abandoned or abused by NRI or foreign spouses through the Indian Community Welfare Fund; ask the Embassy what help applies to you.
